Student council elections

The SMDP activity for this week is electing new student council members.

The student council elections will be held on Friday, 26 March 2010 from 11 to 12:30 AM at the BMA sports complex.

Students of MBA15, MBA 16, PURAI and IS6 can submit nominations for the following student council posts.

1. President
2. Vice President
3. Sports secretary
4. Club secretary
5. CSR secretary

The last date to submit the nominations is Thursday, 25 March 2010 before 1PM.

Students are encouraged to actively take part in submitting the nominations and campaigning.

Events planned for SMDP

Students will be taken across to different kinds of industry so they get a feel of operations and meet managers running the firm. The attempt will be take different groups of students to different kinds of industries – finacial, retail, manufacturing, outsourcing centres, service industry et al, so that there is an awareness of all that goes into making running a firm successfully.

In addition, groups of SMDP students will be encouraged to volunteer to conduct the monthly sport, literary and cultural activities that will henceforth be organized only by the student community at BMA. I will like to see a group of students who will volunteer to organize an inter Business School festival at our campus soon.

SMDP at BMA

We start the SMDP activity for March – July 2010 today. SMDP is a module delivered at BMA to augment decision making capability and business acumen among our students by making them take up independent activities mentored by our faculty. this exercise is carried out diligently every Friday and includes a number of diverse events that cater to developing management skills.
